Many are cautious regarding the Sars-CoV-2 virus and COVID-19 infection. Here are a few possible scenarios and recommendations for preparation.

I think the most likely problem to develop within the US is not from the virus itself but through a loss of the supply chain from China coupled with panic buying. This is not to say that the virus is not a serious threat; however, at least 80% of the individuals contracting it will have mild symptoms and recover. 12% will have severe cases and need to be hospitalized, 5% will need ICU and approximately 3% will die.

If the R-naught (R0) that is being currently (6March20) reported by the WHO is accurate, then potentially 40-50% of the US population could become infected within the next 4-5 months. Using the 2.2% (now WHO reports 3.4%) mortality rate, upwards of 3.3 million Americans could die. If this scenario does develop over the months to come, no doubt nationwide quarantines would be in order. Likely once quarantines are announced in a few larger cities the general population will begin panic buying of food and supplies to a much larger extent than what is currently seen.

What are the potential situations regarding Sars-CoV-2? (In order of risk)

  1. Supply line deficiency
  2. Quarantine
  3. Infection

Who is most at risk?

  • In order of risk: Asian, Middle Eastern, African, Caucasian (Asians have up to five times more ACE2 receptors than any other race)
  • Male
  • Co-morbidity (underlying health condition even as benign as hypertension)
  • Over 60 years of age (original Lancet article mean age was 49 y/o)

Quarantine/Supply line shortages (likelihood 0-10: 8):

  • Minimum 30-day supply of food for entire family
  • 30-day water source if municipal water or electricity is disrupted
  • Water filter
  • Ability to cook food if no electricity (propane, etc.)
  • 30-day supply of toiletries, TP, female products, paper towels
  • 30-day supply of pet food in case of quarantine
  • 30-day supply of medications and/or supplementation
  • Games, books, DVDs, etc., to pass the time. Don’t assume internet will always be available.
  • Firearm(s) and ammunition. Method and plan to protect family and home.

To protect against infection (likelihood 0-10: 5):

  • AVOID public places, transit and events
  • Put into place all the typical recommendations from CDC/WHO (hand washing, etc.)
  • Sars-CoV-2 is AIRBORNE. This does not mean ‘droplet’. (cough, sneeze, etc.) It is in the air.  Correctly fitted N95 masks are a MUST. Surgical masks WILL NOT protect you.
  • Change your mask if it becomes moist or after every use.
  • Nitrile/latex exam gloves
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Practice decontamination. Have a specific area to remove clothing and clean them immediately. Decontaminate the area
  • Chlorine bleach and wipes. Chlorine has been found to kill Sars virus.
  • Lysol
  • Diffuse in your home this mixture: 3% food grade Hydrogen Peroxide, Potassium Iodine, Colloidal Silver, Biomolecular Oxygen, distilled water. Make sure to inhale this mixture deeply into your nostrils and lungs. (These things are available at the clinic minus the distilled water).
  • Every member of family begin taking: Core Olive Leaf and Para 2. Ten years and up: Core Olive Leaf: 3 droppers twice daily; Para 2:  2/1 daily. This is designed to dramatically increase cell membrane strength, decrease oxidation and improve antiviral ability of your immune system. (Available at the clinic).
  • Fasting
  • Use a light colloidal silver mist on front of N95 mask.
  • Medical grade oxygen with proper attachments
  • Stockpile of antibiotics for secondary infections and no medical access during quarantine (more information on this coming)
  • I am very concerned of supply line loss especially Chinese made medications (most). You need to seriously consider turning to natural remedies for your health condition and take your health as priority

If quarantined (self or otherwise) and member of household falls ill:

  • Immediately quarantine individual to a specific room. Limit 100% of access to this ONE room.
  • Put plastic over windows, A/C vents and doors of quarantine room. Your purpose is to block air circulation to other parts of the dwelling
  • Allow only ONE person to be caregiver. They must wear exam gloves and well-fitted N95 mask with goggles or other eye protection (PPE preferred)
  • Have patient wear surgical mask (not N95) to limit exposure to others
  • Use chlorine wipes to decontaminate room as frequently and well as possible
  • Wear only one set of clothing to care for patient and do not wear the clothing to other portions of the dwelling. When finished care giving, remove gloves, sanitize hands (hand sanitizer or chlorine wipes), put on NEW pair of gloves THEN remove clothing.  Do not touch anything until after this procedure is completed. DO NOT PULL SHIRT OVER HEAD! Put clothing in bio-containment bag. Now remove mask and goggles. Wash clothing in hot water and chlorine bleach immediately. Destroy bio-containment bag (if a heavy plastic bag). Decontaminate goggles with chlorine. Use this procedure EVERY TIME after care giving.
  • You may make a remote (ZOOM) appointment with me to help your family member (or self) as much as possible. We will ship supplements to you as long as delivery companies are running.
  • Prayer

We will have a VERY LIMITED supply of N95 masks at the clinic likely by end of next week. I will make an announcement once they are available. Seriously ill patients who have no supply will be given initial access, then first come first served.

How does Sars-CoV-2 affect the body?

Sars-CoV-2-rNA is a novel virus. It attacks the ACE 2 cell pathway (receptor). It will first enter through the mouth, nose, or eyes and travel to respiratory cells and attach to the ACE 2 receptor to begin the replication process. Once enough cells have been genetically altered and destroyed, the victim will have lungs fill with fluid.

The Sars-CoV-2-rNA has also been found to attack cells within the renal and cardiovascular system. Heavily infected brain stems have been found on autopsy. This suggests that the virus attacks the Central Nervous System and destroys the ability of the brain to control respiratory function. In plain words, the victims lungs simply cannot function and they stop breathing.

This is not the influenza.

There has been SARS, MERS, Avian Flu, Swine Flu, Ebola, Measles and Zika. None of those ‘killshot’ events turned out to be anything. Hopefully Sars-CoV2 will follow the course of these others. Still, you have to acknowledge that governments response to this virus has been exceptionally different. It is not to be taken lightly.
